Items include a printed record of the proceedings from a Foreign Mission Policy Conference held at Thiel College, Greenville, Pennsylvania, September 4-8, 1957; various essays and papers pertaining to foreign mission work; and a listing of foreign mission work of other Lutheran churches. This last item is undated, and the context in which it was produced is not known. Of note, one item, "A Statement of the Structural Organization of the Board of Foreign Missions of the United Lutheran Church in America," may prove a good source of background information pertaining to the origins and functioning of the board.

The Board of Foreign Missions of the United Lutheran Church in America (See ULCA 19 Administrative History) divided the oversight of its mission work among several secretaries. Paul P.
